VIEO To Host Public Meeting on State Energy Program (SEP) Grant 3-year Plan

The Virgin Islands Energy Office will host a public meeting regarding the State Energy Program (SEP) Grant 3-year Plan on Thursday, May 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the St. John Legislative Annex in Cruz Bay.

The Virgin Islands Energy Office (VIEO) has scheduled a public meeting to present ideas for the upcoming three-year State Energy Program Grant. We would like to hear the public’s input, ideas, and possible modifications to the current program.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) State Energy Program (SEP) provides funding and technical assistance to state and territory energy offices to help them advance their clean energy economy while contributing to national energy goals. SEP also provides leadership to maximize the benefits of energy efficiency and renewable energy in each state through communications and outreach activities and technology deployment, and by providing access to new partnerships and resources.

Public comments will be taken during the meeting or via written comments mailed to our office during a 14-day period following the public meeting. After the comment period, the VIEO will review all the information and comments regarding the program. All comments must be returned no later than Thursday, May 21, 2015.
