Rev. Ray Joseph Honored at Government House

 

Governor Kenneth Mapp met with one of the territories oldest veterans, Pastor Ray K. Joseph on Friday, January 23. Veterans Director Designee Patrick Farrell had the distinct honor to introduce Pastor Ray Joseph to the governor at Government House, where he was received with honors.

Pastor Joseph served in the military for eighteen years during the Vietnam Era. He was born in 1932 and at 82 he stands as one of our eldest living Veteran Virgin Islanders. For many years Joseph served Emmaus Moravian Church in Coral Bay. He is also a former member of the Health and Hospitals Corp. district board for St. Thomas-St. John. His wife, Shirley Joseph, is a former principal of the Julius E. Sprauve School.

“I am pleased to have welcomed you to Government house and I assure you that serving our Veterans is a priority and an honor,” Governor Mapp stated.
