Mekayla Smith, a Wesleyan Academy second grader from St. Thomas, is contestant number two. Smith is looking forward to dancing, especially to her favorite artists Beyonce and T.I. Smith is also excited to win some prizes if she is crowned St. John Festival Princess.

Julius E. Sprauve School third grader Daniela Joseph, couldn’t name only one thing she’s looking forward to, because she’s excited about everything.

“I am looking forward to the music and the dancing and just everything,” said Joseph. “I wanted to run because I want the crown.”

The ladies have an able escort in crowned St. John Festival Prince Davon Alfred, a 10-year-old fourth grader at JESS.
