St. John Administrator Leona Smith has asked the public to avoid the Pine Peace basketball court and playground while the source of a leak is investigated by the Department of Public Works.

The leak, which may be coming from an old well, has caused flooding at the site, creating mud and a breeding ground for mosquitoes. The area is unsafe until further notice, Smith added.
