Caneel Bay Resort officials unveiled a new sign last week announcing the increase of parking fees from $10 to $20 for 2012. The fees will help Caneel cover operation costs, explained resort managing director Nikolay Hotze.
“We have increased the price of car-parking in 2012 for day visitors to Caneel Bay as a response to the increasing costs of running the operation,” said Hotze. “The charge allows the Caneel Bay management to maintain the parking facility, rest rooms and other areas used by the increasing number of day-visitors welcomed daily to the resort. The parking fee is waived upon proof of meals and refreshments purchased in either of the resort restaurants, to an equal or greater value of the parking charge.”
