Louis Vuitton, the world’s leading luxury brand, hosted a barefoot and black-tie event on Sunday, January 20, at Caneel Bay Resort celebrating Louis Vuitton’s 20 years in the Caribbean and the opening of the St. Thomas boutique at Yacht Haven Grande. The new location houses an array of leather goods from the traditional and innovative collections of luggage and city bags as well as sunglasses, textiles, ties and accessories.
Louis Vuitton St. Thomas is one of the growing number of stores in resort locations. Louis Vuitton currently operates stores in St. Barths, Bermuda, Aruba and Puerto Rico, and has had a presence in the Caribbean for more than 20 years.
Guests at the celebration were treated to Caribbean barbecue and Moet & Chandon champagne while surrounded by vintage Louis Vuitton trunks. In conjunction with the event, Louis Vuitton hosted a silent auction in support of the Friends of the V.I. National Park and RUSH Philanthropic Arts Foundation
