Library Exterior Crumbles as Interior Shines

The millennium restoration of the historic Enighed Great House as the Elaine I. Sprauve Library and Museum has seen better days.

While the interior of the majestic plantation home retains its beauty under the aegis of the Friends of the Elaine I. Sprauve Library whose members have donated generously to support the library, the exterior of the building is in distress.

Newly-appointed librarian Ashley Till is hopeful the library friends group will continue its strong support and that the V.I. Department of Planning and Natural Resources will be able to fund an exterior restoration to match the majestic brick and mahogany interior of the historic building.
