Kenny Chesney’s Stoneridge House Listed for Sale at $14 Million

Stoneridge, owned by Grigsby Farm Trust, above, is on the market for $14 million.

Stoneridge, a seven bedroom Susanaberg home owned by Grigsby Farm Trust, an entity well known to represent country music mega star Kenny Chesney, has been listed for sale on the St. John Multiple Listing Service for $14 million.

The St. John architect Glen Speer-designed estate is located off of Centerline Road near the Gift Hill  Road turnoff and affords sweeping views of Caneel Bay and the island’s North Shore.

Built in 1979, Stoneridge is partly surrounded by V.I. National Park land and the 1.657-acre property includes an expansive pool and hot tub.

The 10,657-square foot masonry structure boasts oversized windows for enjoying the panoramic views and a 9,157-square foot deck.

With seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, Stoneridge can accommodate any size gathering. While the home is furnished, the MLS listing does not mention anything about the recording artist’s signature blue armchair.

Stoneridge’s $14 million price tag matches the island’s highest home sale price. Starfish Market owner David Mugar’s Cliff House in Peter Bay Estates, fetched that same amount in March 2007.

The Stoneridge offering is the third St. John property owned by Chesney’s Grisby Farm Trust put on the market over the past few years.

A Grigsby Trust lower Peter Bay Estates house sold in April 2007 for $4.75 million — a bargain after it was originally listed for $5.95 million in January 2006.

Chesney’s rumored three-acre Upper Peter Bay property was first put on the market in 2006 with an asking price of $11 million. The price tag eventually dropped to $8.5 million and the property finally sold in 2007 for $6.57 million. The remaining St. John property rumored to be owned by Chesney is a home in Estate Chocolate Hole.
