Kati Steinborn and her staff at KatiLady Villa Services and Catering aren’t about to rest on their well-deserved laurels.

The team recently returned from Catersource 2008 in Las Vegas, the catering industry’s premier annual conference and tradeshow where they got a peek at the latest trends and products to make their offerings even better.

“My staff and I just returned from Catersource 2008, which offered unparalleled education, the chance to share ideas, industry trends, introduction to new products and services, and great networking opportunities,” said Steinborn.

The St. John catering, wedding planner, and villa services company owner makes staying abreast of industry trends a priority for her and her staff.
“I am dedicated to continuing education for my staff and to bringing the latest in event planning and catering ideas to St. John,” Steinborn said.
Katilady operations and event manger Ann Heeger took full advantage of the tradeshow, she explained.

“Catersource 2008 inspired me to become a more creative event planner,” said Heeger. “I learned fresh ways to use available materials to create fantastic touches that will add flavor and style to our events.”

Executive chef Edika Franco soaked up the information in classes such as “Cutting Edge Buffet Designs,” and “How to Avoid Professional Burnout.”
Even Steinborn picked up a few new tricks.

“I found ‘How To Empower Your Team’ and the actual tradeshow viewing of new products being offered in our industry very exciting,” she said.
