Justice for Jamie?

I thought Virgin Islands Law stipulates that the sentencing of a person convicted of any crime is supposed to be sentenced within thirty days. What seems to be the legal precedent for delaying the sentencing of Jamie’s killers? Who in the VI Justice System determines that this criminal conviction deserves special consideration? Isn’t it enough that the killers have been found guilty twice by two different juries? This makes NO sense whatsoever.
