Go Green During St. John Festival with The Shuga Shack

Don’t miss out on the chance to enjoy Festival village libations while going green at the Shuga Shack booth.

It’s Festival time on St. John and once again Friends of VI National Park and The Shuga Shack have teamed up to offer a green option for revelers.

Friends of the VINP Program Manager Karen Jarvis and Val Prakas, educator and driving force behind The Shuga Shack, have joined forces for the preservation of the Virgin Islands in celebration of 2013 Festival season.

Friends of VINP have made it possible for the Shuga Shack’s Festival Village booth to continue to offer special reusable and recyclable cups for the Shack’s famous Electric Lemonade.

“We are excited that we have been given the opportunity to expand this program for the second year,” said Prakas. “More and more VI residents and visitors understand that their efforts to reuse really do make a difference.”

The cups are a bargain too. Festival-goers who buy the large-sized cups can bring them back for Electric Lemonade re-fills each night at a reduced cost.

Last year, Festival-goers knew a good thing when they saw it and the cups sold out early. Once again supplies are limited, so get those Electric Lemonades early and help keep St. John green.
