St. John School of the Arts is presenting the Second Annual “Broadway Comes to St. John” premiering a new work “World Of Dreams” on Friday, January 27, at the Westin Ballroom.
Once again five Broadway actors will be working for three week with the fourth graders from all St. John schools.
The premiere performance will be at 6 p.m. for those who purchase a $200 “Angel” tickets. This ticket includes admission, a champagne reception and dinner following the performance at one of the island’s finest restaurant sponsors: Da Livio; Fatty Crab; Fish Trap; La Tapa; Lime Inn; Morgan’s Mango; Ocean Grill; Rhumb Lines; and ZoZo’s. Tickets can be purchased at Connections and St. John School of the Arts.
The second performance of “World of Dreams” at 8 p.m. is free for the general public. Any contributions will be most appreciated.
As part of this fundraising event, St. John School of the Arts will also host another “St. John Goes to Broadway” raffle. This package is valued at $5,000 and includes round trip airfare for two to New York City; tickets to “Priscilla: Queen of the Desert” and “Chicago” with a back stage tour; plus a third show that will be announced; dinner at Sardi’s and Etcetera Etcetera; and three night’s hotel accommodations.
Raffle tickets are $100 and are available at Connections and St. John School of the Arts. The drawing for the winner of the raffle will be after the premiere performance and the winner does not need to be present to win. This raffle package must be used before September 30, 2012.
As part of this promotion, St. John School of the Arts is proud to launch its new logo. Cheryl Geller designed the school’s new image as well as the promotional posters, tickets and banner for “Broadway Comes to St. John” event. Her contributed talents and skills have given the school a creative and dynamic new look for 2012.
