Services were held Friday, July 20, for Faye Elskoe-Liburd, who died on July 12, 2007.

The first viewing was from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and the second was at 8 a.m. Friday at John Thomas Funeral Chapel. The funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday at Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral. Burial was in Western Cemetery No. 1.

She is also survived by members of the Lockhart, Dudley, Barbel, Sibilly, Kirketurp, Daniel, Tirado, Jackson, Arnold, Mollah, Magras, Brown, Nicholson and Scabriel families; and many other relatives and friends.

Governor John deJongh Jr. and Lt. Gov. Gregory Francis extended condolences to the family of Fay Liburd. Liburd is the wife of former Senate President Almando “Rocky” Liburd and daughter of the well-known culture bearer Dorothy “Dottsie” Elskoe.
Senator Alvin Williams Jr. and Senator at Large Carmen Wesselhoft also expressed their deepest condolences to the Liburd, Elksoe and Lockhart families on the loss of Fay Liburd.
