Crime Stoppers USVI is asking the community to help the VIPD solve the following Crimes:
V.I. Police Department officials on St. John are still seeking additional information on the murder of Juan Ayala.
Ayala was found dead from multiple gunshots on Monday, January 5, outside his home in Estate Pastory. Police say there may have been two suspects.
One suspect is described as a black male with braided hair. The police department is offering a $10,000 reward and witness protection for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
St. Thomas
Police on St. Thomas are looking for two suspects who shot a 31 year-old man in the leg. The assault happened at about 6 p.m. on January 30 near Nadir Circle. One suspect is described as a black man 5’3” to 5’6”, husky build, clean shaven with a bald head. The second suspect is about 6’ tall, clean shaven with braided hair.
St. Croix
Police on St. Croix are seeking additional information regarding the January 26 murder of Jean-Pierre Barone. Barone was killed in Christiansted near the Moravian Cemetery. More than one suspect may have participated in this murder. The suspects may regularly frequent the same area. Also anyone who knew the victim is asked to call the police or Crime Stoppers. Any information no matter how insignificant it may seem, may be vital in solving this case.
Crime Stoppers has received seven new tips this week, which brings our total tips received to 20. Due to the quality of the tips received, VIPD Lt. Thomas Hannah said that in addition to the recovery of $2,500 of stolen property, he expects to have some arrests to report shortly.

Tipsters will remain anonymous and do not have to testify in court to receive a reward. If the information provided leads to an arrest or the recovery of stolen property, the tipster will earn a cash reward of up to $2,500. Only anonymous callers to Crime Stoppers are eligible for these cash rewards.
