A St. John fisherman apparently decided not to argue with V.I. Department of Planning and Natural Resources enforcement officers, above, about the legal status of his small fishing boat on Cruz Bay beach about a week ago, and commenced to unload all his equipment off the skiff, including the engine. Faced with the potential of an abandoned boat, the officers appeared to have relented. The fishing vessel was serenely at anchor off the beach the next morning, below.
