When only a few residents showed up to help load tons of donated water, clothing and more destined for the relief effort in St. Lucia, which was devastated by Hurricane Tomas, Connections owner Cid Hamling had an idea. She went next door to Castaways bar and asked for help. The entire bar emptied out as patrons helped load the flatbed truck with the donations.
