August 10 is Last Day To Register To Vote In September Primary Elections

Coral Bay Community Council officials hung a banner, above, announcing the location and dates for citizens to register to vote in the territory’s September 11 primary elections.

The Elections System of the Virgin Islands’ St. John office is located right near the Cruz Bay roundabout and will be open Tuesday, August 10, to register residents to vote in the upcoming primary. The office will not accept any registrations between August 11 and September 11.

The office will reopen on September 12 for residents to register to vote in the November general elections. The last day to register to vote in the general elections is October 2.

In order to register with the Elections System of the Virgin Islands, residents must have a birth certificate, or U.S. passport or a military discharge form or a naturalization certificate.
